Now, you are in the kitchen and have located all of the necessary condiments and utensils, and have salmon ready to cook. You contain no idea on what to do or anywhere to begin. You appear at the microwave but then spin away in disgust. You look at the stove and many ideas pop into your head. Should I Bake the salmon? What if I Broil the salmon? Can you even fry fish?! You start getting to get dizzy and are about to collapse. Wait! There are many online resources that can solve this situation. You type this URL and would be delighted to know the range of ways it has in store to guide you in making wonderful dishes with fish.
You may also want to use different zests to give your salmon that extra kick. Squeeze a lemon or two while frying your salmon to give it that punch. Another option is to coat your salmon in bread crumbs and your choice of cream sauce. Oh my gosh! I NEVER liked baked salmon recipe before - but this was SO good!! I doubled the garlic, halved the olive oil, and used 1 tsp dried parsley. After cooking the salmon for 45 mintues, I was concerned that it would be dry, but it was very juicy.
I might use less salt next time (perhaps 3/4 teaspoon) because it tasted extremely salty. This salmon dish is wonderful - I will definitely make this again! (UPDATE: I have started using this same method for chicken breasts, and they come out amazing too!! I love to serve it over brown rice…the juice gives the rice a nice flavor.) With the 4th of July approaching, many of us are planning a traditional barbecue to celebrate with hot food without heating up the kitchen.
Burgers, hot dogs, steaks and chicken are the foods we usually think of when we contemplate firing up the charcoal; but for a wonderful change of pace, why not consider grilled salmon? Salmon does not flake and fall apart on the barbecue grill, which makes it a perfect choice for the outdoor cook. Simply choose steaks or fillets and cook over a hot, but not roaring flame until the fish flakes easily when prodded with the point of a knife. A light brush with lemon juice and melted butter is optional.
A few leaves of fresh rosemary for the brush and your feast will fill the eyes and breath of all with its looks and aroma. When you are cooking salmon at home, grilled vegetable and potatoes are a delicious addition to the meal.
